Bonjour Babe!

Here we are back again for my final year of college! Though I am so happy to be back and in the swing of things, this summer was definitely an unforgettable one. The highlight? Paris of course! This year I was lucky enough to join my program on a fashion based trip to Paris France!

Paris is one of the most fashion forward cities in the world and the Parisians definitely do it right! We had the privilege of seeing the streets where fashion first began with a trip to the Chanel flagship and some very exclusive boutiques. As part of the trip itinerary, we went on a fashion walking tour and got to experience the very first Chanel store, the apartment where Coco used to live and even the place she would go for her daily coffee. This is something I had always dreamed about doing so the fact that i got to experience that this summer was magical.

“Fashion is in the sky, in the street” – Coco Chanel

From wandering through museums, cafes, and beautiful gardens, there was never dull moment in Paris. We took in some of the most famous sights like the Louvre, The Arc De Triomphe, and of course the Eiffel Tower. When we weren’t occupied with the popular landmarks you could find us eating french delicacies (that’s right I ate octopus!) or you guessed it….SHOPPING! Shopping in Paris could be described as overwhelming but in the very best way. There is just so much! If you know me, you know i took advantage of this! I was in Paris after all and I had to keep up with the ALWAYS trendy Parisians!

Parisian Picnics

Aside from fashion, one of the highlights for me was most definitely our evening picnic underneath the Eiffel Tower. Myself and a few others hit up the nearest grocery store, packed up some baguettes, cheese, chocolate and wine and headed down to watch the Eiffel Tower light up. This happens every night at 9pm for 5 minutes and then again every hour on the hour until midnight. It’s one of those experiences you can’t really describe. To me it was one of the most magical moments of the trip, watching the tower sparkle and watching everyone around be so in awe of it. This was a bucket list item I am now able to cross off my list.

From croissants to cafes, and baguettes to berets, Paris was an experience of a lifetime and one that I will never forget. The European summer trip doesn’t end there though! Stay tuned for my next post to find out where we went next!

Below I’ve attached a few of the highlight pictures from my trip to Paris France!
